excerpt
The sound of “I love you” fills the room. My heart drops to my knees. My throat constricts; I can’t breathe. Those three words were meant for me. He doesn’t notice me standing in the doorway. He doesn’t notice the look of shock and pain that carries across my face. I can feel the tears burn, as he calls her name.

MY REVIEW
Willow is excited!  Her fiancee is coming back from a week long business trip, and it is their two year anniversary.  She has planned a full night for him.

When she arrives home to find her best friend on the her doorstep, she gets a warning that she doesn't believe.  When she sees it for herself, she's destroyed and she does the one thing she can only think to do.  She runs from the house and never looks back.  She can't even look at Duncan, and the image of his betrayal is burned into her brain.

She knows she has to get away.  She quits her job, knowing she can't work for the same company when Duncan is everywhere she looks.  To get over the betrayal, she needs to get away and heal.

When she arrives at a little town named Lake Jackson, she meets Sharon and Bob.  Two angels sent from Heaven above.  Sharon immediately welcomes her into her home.  Willow, still recoiling from Duncan's betrayal, doesn't want to stick around for very long.  Distracted by the memories that keep flooding in her head, she's saved be a gorgeous guy from being run over.

Parker doesn't know what to make of her.  He does know that Sharon keeps bringing people into her home, and also knows her hospitality isn't always met with thanksgiving.  When he saves this beautiful girl, he's curious about her, but not enough to be concerned about her.  Sharon wants him to at least talk to her, but he fights her.  He wants nothing to do with this girl.

I really enjoyed this book!  I felt for Willow, because I don't know what I would do if I caught my husband in a position like that.  I don't think I would have remained quiet about it though.  He would have known I was there.  Oh ya... he would definitely know I was there!  Not in a good way either...

Parker is beautiful, but he's damaged.  He does have a temper, but he loves Willow.  She fights him tooth and nail, but he wants to be with her.  He doesn't know why she can't just admit her feelings for him.

As I said, I really loved this book!!  I loved Riley, and her little girl... who was able to grab Parker's heart right from the start.  Seeing him with her, you know he's not the bad boy that he wants everyone to think he is.
