            L.P. Dover lives in the beautiful state of North Carolina with her husband and two wonderful daughters.  She’s an avid reader that loves her collection of books. Writing has always been her passion and she’s delighted to share it with the world.  L.P. Dover spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental.  She worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with her two beautiful girls.

THE REVIEW!

I have to say that when I heard this book was coming out... I could.not.wait to read it!!  When I saw the ARC copy of the book in my email... there may have been some excited jumping up and down and squealing going on... maybe.... 

I could not stop reading this book!  It had me from the very beginning!!  I love that it had me guessing from the start, and then completely threw me at the end of it!!  MIND BLOWN!!!  

Marissa Chase is twenty-three and is excited about finally graduating college!  She lives with her best friend Emily, after having to endure the death of her parents in a car accident.  She's young, carefree and loves her friends!  She has an older sister, who she is close to, but her friends are the ones she relies on.  

Her life takes a turn when she finally meets the gorgeous neighbor Alec Holden on her way to Spring Break. They makes plans to meet up when she gets back, but the attraction is instant between the two.  Little do they know what their chance encounter starts.  Her best friend Kristain is her rock.  He's there for her no matter what, she feels safe with him.  They met after someone tried to attack her, and he stopped the guy from doing anything to her.  

After she gets back from her trip, she and Alec have their date.  There are reasons that I kept telling Leslie that Alec was my new book boyfriend... he was SMEXY!!!!  Holy crap!!!  From the description of him in the first chapter... yea... I was done!!!  I was completely hooked on him!!  He makes it known there are things about him he's not ready to come clean about with Marissa, but she decides to give him the benefit of the doubt.  Unknown to either of them, there is someone who doesn't want them together. 

Things start happening that make Marissa question the trust she has for Alec.  She loves him dearly, but is afraid of his past once he comes clean with her about who he is.  Plus, Kristain starts acting weird once he finds out just how serious she and Alec are.  I liked Kristain, but there were times I found a bit annoying. He and Marissa are friends, and made it known there is nothing emotional between them.  He's got a girlfriend in New York, but Marissa has never met her.  

Soon, it's apparent that someone is after Alec and he doesn't have a clue who it could be.  This person is set on getting revenge, but he doesn't know for what.  

When Marissa and Alec are forced to flee, they finally believe whoever is out to get them can't find them.  They let their guard down, and because of that, Marissa is caught all alone.  She turns to someone she believed she was safe with.  Little does she know what a huge mistake that will be.  

This book had me guessing right from the start.  I am going to write it again, because it is the truth... MIND BLOWN!!!  I loved the interaction between Marissa and her best friend Emily, and could only wish I had a friend like that in my life.  Also, the way Alec was with Marissa.  He loved her completely, and would do anything to protect her.  They weren't expecting to fall for each other, but they did, and because of this, are put on a journey neither one of them expected!
