Lucian has unleashed troops of evil beasts from the Underworld, making it impossible for Emma to leave the protective barrier of Alaine’s home. War is inevitable. The Guardians will need to stay and fight their ground, hoping Lucifer keeps his end of the deal and comes to their aid.

MY REVIEW:

First... this book is part of a series.  If you haven't read the other three, then you MUST read those before reading this book.  Trust me... you won't regret it!!

This series very nearly killed me... first I read all four books in a week, but besides that... the story is amazing.  The suspence very nearly killed me!!!!!

Emma is awaiting her transformation, which is to take place in a matter of months.  At the end of the last book, Lucifer forced her to make a deal she really didn't want to make.  What made things worse, Ethon isn't the person who she thought he was.  He seems like he's sincere, but there is a darkness about him that she isn't too sure she's ok with.  She doesn't want to rule the Underworld with him, let alone rule anything or anyone.  All she wants is to live with her family and be happy.

What keeps her grounded is the constant presence of Kade.  She's still struggling with the fact that he gave up his immortality for her, because in her eyes, she doesn't believe she's that special for him to have done that.

Honestly, I loved Kade.  I loved from book one, and was curious to see how the two of them would end up together with him being mortal and her being 3/4's angel.  Emma was curious how it would work, but was ok with just being with him.

I so loved this book... I read it in one day!!!  I loved Emma, because you see her start as this vulnerable, naive seventeen year old at the beginning, but then see her grown into this strong, couragous woman.  You see what she is about to become before her transformation.  You understand what she is willing to do for the ones she loves.  She will stop at nothing to stop Lucian from killing her and her family.  Too bad for her Lucifer is hellbent on getting what he wants.

As I said, you must must must read this series.  I don't want to give too much away, as there is so much that goes on in this book.  It's amazing... and it may very nearly kill you... or have you screaming at it... which, yes, I did...

Author Bio:
My family is what keeps my heart beating, and my world a happy place to be.

I love reading great books that whisk me away from reality, even if for a little while. :) Writing is my passion. I love creating new worlds and new characters, and taking wondrous adventures with them.

In My Dreams & Hidden Wings were both recently published through Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing. Descent (A Hidden Wings novella) will be released May 15, 2013, and Broken Wings (Book 2 in the Hidden Wings Series) will be released June 1, 2013.

One day I will find my magic wardrobe, and ride away on my magical unicorn... ♥ Until then... I'll keep writing! ;)
