Guest Post by Carlyle Labuschagne!!!!!!

It is Guest Post Friday, and I am so happy right now on who is visiting the blog today!! It is the lovely Carlyle Labuschagne!!!  Yes, I am doing a happy dance right now!  When I asked Carlyle to do a guest post for me, she told me she would if I gave her a challenge.  So, I stole an idea from my friend Krystal Wade!  I told her to write a letter to her sixteen year old self.

So, without further ado, here it is!!

Letter to your 16 year old self
Whoohooo – you are going on some amazing journey!

Tsk tsk tsk!!! Girl If I could reach across time right now - Id punch you in the face. Gosh you are one reckless, naughty girl! Stop being such a wuss. All teenagers go through this emotional turmoil you are feeling right now - its part of learning what you are made of. And for heaven’s sake I know you want to but don’t EVER cut your hair short, Mom might say it will suite you - DO NOT DO IT!!! And please stop dressing like a boy. There are really horrible things coming your way – but the amazing things beyond that will definitely eclipse that.

I know right now there are so many things that have you scared, sad and tormented. Nothing of that will matter, those girls - you’re going to be much hotter than them one day. Much hotter!!! There is your reason to be smug around them. And those boys that tease you - they want you that’s all. But you’re a clever girl you knew that right! Just keep them wanting babe, they are a waste of time. Another waste of your time is this boy you are infatuated with. He is going to break you - but you know that already - why else would you be going after the impossible. So when the time comes and you will know exactly when - you better take that chance and punch him in the face, or you will regret forever.

There are a few things that will stay with you for the rest of your life, and hold them dear. Never stop daydreaming, having fun, being so reckless and loving with all you have, be emotional, be mad, be enthusiastic about everything you take on. All your dreams are going to come true. You are going to live your fairytale. And yes , you will always have a soft spot for helping others - and yes you will be used by everyone including your best friend - sorry if you never saw it before but she will and its okay, because all these things that hurt you, scar you and traumatize you -  it might just spawn a book series * grins*.

And your hight shouldn’t bother you so much. You are going to meet that boy who will love you for everything you are, underneath the makeup and clothes he will love you for you, so don’t bother being what they want you to be, that is something that will damage you.

There is so much to look forward to. Great bands - great, great, great bands. Believe in yourself because you are going to do the impossible. And yes you will be able to rub it in all their faces *evil chuckle*

Stay as insane as you are your life has just begun and it’s going to be AMAZING!

Peace out - Carlyle.

PS: Your kids are gorgeous and magical – LOL , you are going to have kids even though you don’t want to – they are there waiting for you to love them, and they truly are your saviors. Yes they are good looking and will have your eye color.

Thanks so much Carlyle!!  Man... the things I would tell my 19 year old self!!  I think that in itself would be a novel!

Carlyle is the author of The Broken Destiny, which I am a part of the blog tour in a few weeks!!!  Can not wait!!!
