Interview with Krystal Wade!!

Today I have the wonderful Krystal Wade visiting the blog today!!  I almost jumped for joy when Krystal asked me to be a part of the blog tour.... ok there was maybe a little jumping... and squealing, but I was excited!!  So, I had her answer a few questions about the book and give a little bit of information about herself!

1.       What is Wilde’s Meadow about?

Wilde's Meadow is the final installment in the Darkness Falls trilogy. This book basically takes our heroes and drops them into the depressing reality of war. Kate grows throughout the book, in her relationship with Arland, but also in the relationships with those around her.
2.       Who are the characters in Wilde’s Meadow?

Well, we have Kate (Katriona) and Arland, destined to be together, worried they'll be torn apart. Perth, Brit, Flanna, Cadman, and the rest of the crew of close soldiers, but we also have a variety of new species that come to play in this book.

3.       How does this differ from Wilde’s Fire?

Wilde's Fire is a book more about discovery of truth, of self, and of love. In Wilde's Meadow, Kate   knows and understands these things, but now she has to accept them.
4.       What was the inspiration for Wilde’s Meadow?

The same as it was for Wilde's Fire. I wrote the series because I had a "vision" of a girl in a dense,      green forest, reaching out her finger to touch something shimmering. The rest of the story may or  may not be a fantasy adaptation of my teenage years.
5.       Is it hard to write YA versus an adult genre?

I wouldn’t know. I haven’t tried writing adult literature . . . yet!

6.       What made you want to write the YA genre?

For one, I read YA, but mostly because I feel I have a message for young adult women, a message I hope to one day have a large enough audience to share with.
7.       What genre do you like to read?

I like paranormal, fantasy, thriller, a mix of all those things. Really, just stories that have some sort of false reality. I tell people that I live reality, I have no reason to read it. I want something that takes my imagination to the limits!

8.    Do you do anything special while you write?  Listen to music, watch tv…

Try to drown out the world. How I achieve that is beyond me.

9.       How long have you been writing?

Full time? For just shy of two years. But honestly, I realized I was a writer when I was in third grade . . . I just never did anything about it!
10.   Who or what inspires you to write?

God. I have no other explanation for my inspiration. So I'll blame Him.
11.   What do you think you would be doing if you weren’t writing?
A lot more laundry. That's for sure!

Happy endings are hard to find, and even though Katriona is in the middle of a war with someone who’s already stolen more than she can replace, she aches for a positive future with her Draíochtans.

Armed with hope, confidence in her abilities, and a strange new gift from her mother, Kate ventures into the Darkness to defeat a fallen god.

Losses add up, and new obstacles rise to stand in the way. Is the one determined to bring Encardia light strong enough to keep fighting, or will all the sacrifices to stop those who seek domination be for nothing?

Krystal Wade can be found in the sluglines outside Washington D.C. every morning, Monday through Friday. With coffee in hand, iPod plugged in, and strangers--who sometimes snore, smell, or have incredibly bad gas--sitting next to her, she zones out and thinks of fantastical worlds for you and me to read. How else can she cope with a fifty mile commute?

Good thing she has her husband and three kids to go home to. They keep her sane.

Also there is a rafflecopter giveaway for an ebook copy of Wilde's Meadow and a $5 Amazon gift card!!  Make sure you enter for a chance to win!!  There is also a giveaway starting the second week of November on Krystal's website for the Wilde's Moments Blog Fest!!
