THE REVIEW
Ok, first I have to say this. You MUST read the first two books in the series BEFORE you read this book. You can not read this without doing that, or you will be totally confused about what's going on!
Also, when I received this book from Tiffany, she warned me there was a cliffhanger at the end. Boy.. she was not kidding!! Me? I don't mind them! They just make me want to read the next book to see what's going to happen! Because of that, I was prepared at the end of the book... was still like... wait... WAIT!!! Just wanted to also warn people who don't like cliffhangers... there is a doosey of one in this book!!
Now, onto the review!!
The action started in this book right from the first chapter! There is a serial killer hunting Nicole and her family. I'm not going to say who... as that would totally ruin the story if you haven't read the first two books, but it is someone she trusted completely.
When I was reading it from the killer's POV, I actually got scared! He's evil, sick and severely twisted. His obsession for Nicole is absolute, and he will stop at nothing to find her. Even when he thinks she's dead, he stops at nothing to find her. His killing only increases and his grasp on reality is slipping continually. He enjoys causing women pain; no matter what that cost is. He thrives on their fear and weaknesses. Every time I got into his mind, it was scarier and scarier for me. Also... reading this after midnight was probably not a great plan.... not with his mind in my head!!
Dylan, Nicole's smexy boyfriend, and his best friend Bradley, will do anything to protect her. I'm going to try and not give anything away, but because of what happened in the previous book, he's overprotective of her. Nicole doesn't want him to get hurt because of her... and will try and convince him to stay with her no matter what.
Then tragedy strikes, leading Nicole to believe some devastating news. She's broken and is retreating deep within herself. She's even pushing Dylan away in her growing depression. He doesn't know what to do, but stands by her and tries to be there for as best as she will allow him. It's heartbreaking to see her go through this, but she finds her way out and back to Dylan. He is her constant, and she knows he would stay by her no matter what. What Dylan and Nicole don't know is that someone close to them may be the one betraying them. The killer is working with someone; they just don't know it is. I think once they find out... it's going to cause a lot of hurt.
I read this book in a day... yes... A DAY!!! I loved it, even though there was a major cliffhanger at the end. When I got to the end, I immediately posted on FB to Tiffany that I had to read the next book to find out what happened! I hate that I have to wait until October now to read it... but it's not that far away!!
