Wow.... that's what I have to say about this book!! W.O.W!!!!!
If I could give this ten daisies, I so would!! Just for the love scenes and Brett alone!!!
Melissa Ashford does something she never does... a one night stand. This one is different though, but she still leaves him before the morning comes. She doesn't think she'll see him again, so she leaves and goes on with her life.
Fate and her best friend Korinne have different plans for her. When she invited to a party by Kori, she's shocked to see the man whose bed she left in the middle of the night. The chemistry is still there, and damned if he isn't sexier then she remembers. She's afraid to let him in and trust him. She's been burned before by her ex-husband, and does not want to get burned again.
Brett Walker wants Melissa, and makes it known he's not like her ex-husband. He knows she's different, and will stop at nothing to prove to her he's not that type of guy. The chemistry between them is atomic. That's the only way to describe what they feel for each other! He can't get enough of her, and she loves it!
The only person coming between her happiness with Brett, is her ex Daniel. One word for this guy... DOUCHE!!!! That's the only way I can describe him. She doesn't tell Brett about him at first, because he really is a non-factor. At first. She does not want him back, and makes it known to him that she does not want him back. Soon though, he does become a factor, and he puts Melissa in a horrible position with Brett. Daniel is up to something... and it is up to Melissa to find out what that something is.
I read this book until almost one in the morning... because I had to know what happened. Also, I wanted more of Brett. I couldn't get enough of him... he is my new book boyfriend!!! Did you see that I said WOW at the beginning??? After the first description of him you'll be drooling!
Alright.. taking a breath... I loved Brett. He didn't allow Mel to treat him with anything but respect and honesty. That was his only request of her. When he finds out what Mel is hiding, he's hurt, but he forgives her. He loves her completely and fights hard to protect her.
I loved loved loved this book! The suspense and the action.. as well as the love scenes kept me reading!! I couldn't get enough of it. There were times I thought Mel was a bit naive regarding her ex, but that was her nature. She didn't want to think badly of him, because of their history, and I really don't blame her. He changed on her though, and how he changed is something she will live with forever.

husband and two wonderful daughters. She's an avid reader that loves her
collection of books. Writing has always been her passion and she's delighted to
share it with the world. L.P. Dover spent several years in college starting out
with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. She worked in the
dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with her two
beautiful girls.
