THE REVIEW
I loved this book a lot!! First... because of smexy Hunter!! He really is HOT!!!!! Second, I really loved the story!!
Someone is attacking the females on the attacking of Hensley University. Because of this, Everleigh's best friend Sam signs them both up for a self defense class. This is where Ev meets Hunter Charles; the gorgeous instructor. The meeting doesn't go well at all, and it causes her to have a very bad opinion of him.
To her surprise, he's in a few of her classes, and he refuses to be ignored. He makes it impossible for her to avoid him. What she doesn't expect is that she can go back and forth verbally with him. They are constantly trying to get the last word in, which causes a lot of humorous back and forth comments. Also, it causes Ev to make a rather presumptuous assumption about Hunter's sexual orientation.
At the same time, the attacks are getting worse, and Ev and Sam are getting increasingly scared. While Hunter and Ev's friendship grows, she finds herself getting more and more attracted to him. Believing she can't have him, because she isn't the right sex, she ignores the attraction and decides to start dating again. When she finds out the truth, she's stunned, but is relieved because now she can act on her feelings.
To Ev's dismay, Hunter keeps pushing her away. It doesn't matter how hard she tries, he will not committ to her, but won't tell her why. He is her best friend, and her protector against unwanted attention when it comes knocking.
Then disaster strikes Sam. Everleigh is at a loss of what to do, but stands by her best friend who is like a sister to her.
What Everleigh doesn't know, someone is hunting her; someone who intent on breaking her.
This was another one day read!! I love when that happens! I needed to find out what happened with Sam, and what happened with Hunter and Ev. I loved them together, and the I loved how he was always there for Everleigh. Even at her bad moments, he was there, with no judgement. He was her rock when she had no one there to lean on.
